The fiberglass elephants and giraffes of the Noah's Ark motel and restaurant have just about come to the end of their march. The complex, built right off I-70 in St. Charles, Mo., in 1966, is scheduled for demolition very soon, they're saying. A statue of Noah atop the adjacent, dilapidated Ark-shaped restaurant is gone, and a gas station on the property is shuttered. There's a frail nobility to these guys, and a spark of life, not quite extinguished, knocking around inside their hollow bodies.
