Concert: The Black-Eyed Susies, Emily Greene and Mara Levi
$5 (free for Friends of The Commonspace), all ages, 7:30 p.m., amanda@thecommonspace.org
Attendance: 29
The ladies take the floor tonight, in an intimate evening (which is not to say it won't be rollickin') of she-powered music. First, St. Louis' own old-timey blossoms, The Black-Eyed Susies (okay, rumor is they've added a boi now), will play their sweet brand of traditional music that blends fiddles, banjo, guitar and heavenly harmonies. Once they've got you in the mood, Emily Greene and Mara Levi, two impressive singer-songwriters from Massachusetts who are just bustin' to play our public living room, will take over.
